What if my swath width changes mid-course?
Recalibrate. The course length only matches 1/128 acre for the swath width you measured it against, so a different nozzle, pressure, or walking pattern needs a new measured course and a new catch, not a scaled guess.
Do I need to spray actual product to calibrate?
No. Calibrate with plain water. It behaves the same as a dilute spray mix for calibration purposes, and it means a mis-measured course or catch costs you nothing but water.
